After the destruction of the Temple, all that remained of Jewish Jerusalem were the three towers of Herod's palace, aptly commemorating the might of the Roman troops. The destruction of the temple is evidenced in the excavations of the Jerusalem Archaeological Park and in today's Jewish Quarter.
