Tobler, Titus
A Swiss physician who wrote a detailed description of the ancient remains of Jerusalem in the years 1845-1846; he matched these sites with the historical data. It was he, and not Charles W. Wilson, who first identified ‘Wilson’s Arch’, as the final arch of the bridge that led from the Upper City of Jerusalem to the Temple Mount.
