Ophel
The area between the City of David and the Temple Mount; in the First Temple period it probably accommodated administrative and public buildings.

ossuary
A chest-shaped stone receptacle, with a lid, in which the bones of the deceased were placed after the flesh had decayed. The length of an average ossuary was that of the femur - the longest bone in the human body, and its width - that of the pelvis. Ossuaries were widely used in the Second Temple period and placed in burial caves.
